Woodworks introduces Absinthe Ordinaire, the newest adventure in our Rough Draft distillery-only, small-batch series. Come taste it and reframe or reaffirm whatever it is you think you know about this legendary spirit.

What Can You Expect? (Well, besides the distinctive spirit you trust Woodworks to provide?!)

Rough Draft Absinthe Ordinaire is hand-crafted with our own vapor infusion and maceration techniques. It’s named after the creator of absinthe: Dr. Pierre Ordinaire. Just say the name out loud and you know this spirit has poetic origins.

There are no artificial flavors or coloring added. You’ll find this to be a fennel-forward spirit, livened up by the additional flavors of Hyssop, Angelica, Coffee, Gunpowder Tea, and yes, Wormwood or Artemisia Absinthium. (Now you know from where the varietal name stems.) Through the mid-palate, you will note spice. Then garden herbs round out a finish that lingers on the palate. Taste it yourself and let us know what flavors you find.
